Welcome to Green Life Residence Trenton! Our nine different layout rooms offer a variety of size, comfort and allow our residents to keep their independence!

Available Suites

Avro

Avro- The Avro is the biggest of our available suits. This one bedroom suite is named after the Avro Canada CF-150 Arrow, The supersonic jet made in the 1950s by the A.V. Roe Canada. This room is equipped with key card entry, automatic door opener, ensuite bathroom and 2 big windows overlooking the views Trenton has to offer. This room is a private room with closet space, a separate living room with a kitchenette and additional storage space.

Globemaster

This room has a large window overlooking the beautiful Trenton scenery with a private ensuite bathroom. Equipped with key card entry for seamless ambulation entry with automatic door, ensuite bathroom and a kitchenette. Named after the CC-177 Globemaster III. This aircraft can fly long distances and land in remote areas, making it perfect for transporting military, humanitarian and peacekeeping missions.

Harvard

This room is named after the CT-156 Harvard II Aircraft, used as the aircraft of choice to help new pilots get from basic flying to jet training. This room is equipped with automatic doors, key card entry, open concept floor plan and an ensuite bathroom. In addition it has a kitchenette, sitting area and closet space.

Hercules

This open concept room is equipped with seamless keycard entry, ensuite bathroom and open concept living. This unit also includes a kitchenette and closest space. This room is named after the CC-130J Hercules airlift that is used for a wide range of missions, transport and training. View Trenton from the large window and seating area within the room.

Buffalo

Named after the CC-115 Buffalo aircraft that plays a critical role in supporting life-saving search and rescue missions. This room is equipped with a private bathroom, open concept living space, key card entry and a private ensuite bathroom. It also has a kitchenette and a sitting area with a large window.

Polaris

This room is equipped with a key card entry, open concept living space, private ensuite bathroom and a kitchenette. This room is named after the CC-150 Polaris aircraft. This aircraft is used as a military-passenger, freight, medical and has been known to transport the Prime Minister, Governor General and Royal Family.

Kingfisher

This room is equipped with an automatic door opener, key card entry, large open concept room, seamless key card entry with automatic door, and a private ensuite bathroom. This unit has a kitchenette and seating area. Named after the CC-295 Kingfisher aircraft, delivered to the Royal Canadian Air Force in 2020.

Otter

This room is equipped with automatic doors, key card entry, open concept floor plan and an ensuite bathroom. In addition it has a kitchenette, sitting area and closet space. Named after the Twin Otter aircraft is a short take-off and landing utility-transport aircraft. This plane can be outfitted with wheels or skis for landing on ground, snow and ice.

Chipmunk

This room is equipped with automatic doors, key card entry, open concept floor plan and an ensuite bathroom and kitchenette. Named after the de Havilland Canada DHC-1 Chipmunk that is a tandem, two-seat, single-engine primary trainer aircraft.

Services and Personal Care

Living independently is the key to health and happiness. However, there will come a time when a little help with everyday activities can make a big difference in a Senior’s life.

At Green Life, we offer our residents an extension of their home by providing personal assistance. Support with the activities of daily life or a helping hand when needed allows our residents to maintain their independence with a sense of dignity, safety and security.

Continuum of Care

Additional levels of care are available as you age in place. No need to fear that a health event may affect your status at The Carrington. Our compassionate nursing staff is here to coordinate extra personal care in consultation with your family and health care professionals.

  • House physician on call and for regular weekly visits
  • Licensed Nurses and Health Care Aides on staff 24 hours, 7 days a week
  • Three nutritious meals served daily at your table with special diets and preferences accommodated
  • Daily housekeeping and personal laundry service
  • Assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing and medication
  • Regular health assessments, controlled medication distribution and arrangements with physician visits
  • Assistance with outside agency services-podiatry, physiotherapy, vaccination, etc.
  • Round-the-clock emergency response system
  • Active social, cultural and recreational programs
  • Mid-morning, afternoon & evening coffee, tea & snacks

Dining

For your dining pleasure and continued good health, Green Life offers a variety of fine meals prepared daily by our own chefs. Our menus include fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables and a choice of two entrees. We will work with you to develop meals that are appropriate for special or therapeutic diets.

At Green Life, we make it a tradition to celebrate special holidays. During the course of the year, we bring you the flavours of the world with our theme meals-Hawaiian, Italian, Greek, French, English Pub, and more. Our residents and staff are encouraged to dress up in costume, to enhance the experience.

Residents’ friends or family are always welcome to dine with their loved ones. On special occasions you can even dine with guests in a private dining area. Together we will create a menu that will make you a proud host!

Special Diets

Our meals are carefully selected to accommodate the tastes and preferences of our residents. We are able to make menu modifications for most preferences, allergies, special requests and therapeutic diets.

  • Three meals daily: breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Mouth-watering dishes prepared by our professional chefs, proven to satisfy even the fussiest
